Sparkle Vision City is a public commission by the artist Michael Velliquette. This low-relief work is made from laser-cut, high-density foam, sign enamels and mirrored acrylic, and measures approximately 12' x 30'. Commissioned through the New York Percent for Art Program and the New York City Schools Construction Authority, the sculpture was installed in the atrium of the newly constructed PS320 in Ridgewood, New York, in June 2015. The opening of the school, and artwork unveiling, is planned for August 2015.
